7th ANNUAL BOCCE NEL GIARDINO

Westmoreland Cultural Trust announces its 7th Annual Bocce nel Giardino (Bocce in the Garden) Tournament and fundraiser.  It will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg.  Attendance is expected to be more than 250.  The bocce tournament (lawn bowling) is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm and is a single elimination tournament hosting 64 teams.  A unique variety of delectable hors d’oeuvres and buffet dinner will be included along with an assortment of confections.  Musical entertainment provided.  Tickets for Bocce nel Giardino are $50 per person; additional $25 per person to play in the tournament.

Money raised at this event will be used for general operations of the Trust and to support the programs and operations at The Palace Theatre, Greensburg Area Cultural Council, Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, the Train Station at Greensburg, Union Trust Building, Lamp Theatre and the Stark/James Building.

The critics are calling this “the Oscar contender of the Greensburg social season,” so mark your calendar for the premier event of the season.  The third annual Hollywood Party at The Palace celebrates the movies and music of the 1940's with lively entertainment, re-enactments of old movie scenes, sublime hors d’oeuvres and cocktails….and much more, all benefiting Westmoreland Cultural Trust.
